What data we process and why
This site collects limited data to operate, understand how visitors use it, and respond to optional feedback or AI questions. We do not create user accounts and do not link analytics to a named profile on this site.
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cookie consent choice, replay preference, theme, feedback-prompt state (stored in your browser) | Remember your preferences and whether you accepted analytics | Consent (analytics) / legitimate interest or preferences (theme, UX state) | Until you clear site data or change your choice |
| Pseudonymous analytics (pages visited, clicks, navigation patterns, device/browser info, approximate location from IP processed by PostHog) | Understand how the site is used and improve it | Consent — only after you click Accept on the cookie banner | As configured in PostHog (EU); typically up to 12 months for event data |
| Optional session replay (interactions on pages) | UX research — see how people move through the site | Consent — Accept plus the session replay checkbox | As configured in PostHog (EU) |
| Feedback you submit (score, comment, optional name/role/company) | Improve the website based on visitor input | Your choice when you click Send on the feedback form | As configured in PostHog (EU) |
| Tune In questions you type | Generate an AI answer about Niko and this site | Legitimate interest in operating the feature you chose to use | Not stored by this site after the answer is generated; OpenAI processes the question under its own terms |
| Server access logs (IP address, request time, browser user-agent) on AWS Amplify | Security, abuse prevention, and reliable hosting | Legitimate interest | Short-term operational retention by the hosting provider |

You can reopen the cookie banner anytime via Cookie settings in the footer to accept, reject, or update session replay.

Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability where applicable.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time (for example via Cookie settings in the footer) without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
You may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or your local supervisory authority.
